THE PLAYER
NAME: Kira
AGE: 25
AIM: peacekeeperdl
E-MAIL: penofdl@gmail.com
TIMEZONE: EST

THE CHARACTER
NAME: Koschei (It's actually much longer, but that is his preferred shortening)
SERIES/FANDOM: Doctor Who
SPECIES: Timelord
SEXUALITY: Straight but has been burned one too many times by women to actually be willing to trust one enough.
JOB: Head Librarian

ABILITIES: Koschei is a Time Lord which means that he has the ability to regenerate his body 12 times for a total of 13 incarnation. Having been granted a whole new set of regeneration after saving the universe from the threat of collapse from Heat Entropy, Koschei is currently only on his second regeneration this time around. Though, in total, he's actually used more like 15.

Time Lords also have a superior intellect in relation to humans allowing him to figure and calculate things up to a thousand times faster with a greatly lesser chance of error. They also have the ability to separate the two halves of their brains, allowing them to multitask quite efficiently. Koschei himself has a skill for hypnotism to the point that he can easily enslave a person's mind (not that he would...unless it's for shits and giggles), a Masters in Cosmic Science, and a great knack for temporal mechanics.

WEAKNESSES: The Doctor has always been a rather serious weak point for Koschei as he has been the man's best friend for centuries and he would do almost anything for him. For Koschei, a cosmos without the Doctor scarcely bears thinking about.

DEVIATION FROM CANON: As a child, Koschei never had the drums implanted in his head and thus he never went crazy. Having never gone crazy, he helped the Doctor when the Logopolis barriers failed and was able to preserve Traken from being a victim of heat entropy rather than causing it himself. And since Traken was never destroyed, they were able to ally themselves with Gallifrey and many other Time Aware worlds in order to create a collation strong enough to ward off Dalek invasion. So! Gallifrey never burned. Yay, reverse domino effect.

CANON PUNCTURING PREFERENCE: Puncturable!
OBJECT FROM HOME: His TARDIS, Lolita, the only woman in his life who has never betrayed him.

PERSONALITY: Despite having grown quite a bit from the kid that he used to be, Koschei's enthusiasm for the world around him has not been dampened. He hasn't grown the least bit bored with the universe like most Time Lords do by his age and still spends his time frittering from planet to planet, soaking up all of the differences and wonders they have to offer. Naturally curious, Koschei has developed a bit more playfulness in this regeneration than he has had in the past ones, ones that he prefers to think of as regular dullards in comparison to himself now.

Definitely a jubilant incarnation, Koschei is like a hyperactive child about some things, always delighted in new circumstances and finding a wonder in the various oddities and amusements that the universe has to offer. He's also an extremely sociable personality, indulging more in making friends with new people than he has in quite a long time. Even while a bouncy personality, Koschei is definitely less maniac than the Doctor, having been the more mellow of the pair for quite some time yet, and while occasional brisk, Koschei definitely has far more manners than the Doctor could ever claim.

Funny, then, that the Doctor is the one that actually still takes companions while Koschei remains on his own. You never know when someone you come across is going to be a spy who nearly ruins your life.

HISTORY: A member of the graduating class of '92, Koschei was one of the Academy's star pupils in that millenia. They had marked him for greatness at a young age. And so, he could do the only thing that he could when given that label: Disappoint everyone terribly.

It wasn't that Koschei wasn't brilliant. He was, even by Time Lord standards, but all of the things that most Gallifreyans held dear Koschei couldn't see himself spending the rest of his life devoted to. He loved to read. He loved books. But after his years at the Academy and all of the friends that he'd made (and lost, sadly), he knew well enough that experiences were what really mattered in the larger scheme of things.

So, when he earned his full degree as a Time Lord and bonded with his TARDIS, he vowed that he wouldn't returned to Gallifrey for good until he felt that he had seen all that the universe had to offer. And considering the utter vastness of both time and space, there was absolutely no doubt that, at least initially, Koschei had no intention of returning at all. Hundreds of years and several trips to other worlds later, Koschei took an example from the Doctor's behavior and took a companion that he met on Earth in order to stave off loneliness. Ailla was wonderful, brilliant, and charming, and Koschei soon found himself hopelessly in love with her. And as is known by many men around the world, one will do crazy things in order to save the one that they love...especially when they're responsible for accidentally killing her.

The mess that happened in the Darkheart was very nearly Koschei's undoing had it not been for the Doctor's ability to avoid the patrols that Koschei had sent to stop him from interfering in his plans to revive Ailla and talk some sense back into him. No matter how special someone might be, they couldn't go around re-writing history simply to get them back, no matter how much they might want to and how much losing them might be painful. Returning reluctantly to his TARDIS with the Doctor, Koschei was horrified to see Ailla standing there waiting for him. Not the human companion that he thought she was, it turned out that she was a spy from the Celestial Intelligence Agency (CIA) sent to keep tabs on his movements and behavior. Horrified at what he would have done to save someone who had only been using him, Koschei found himself intensely grateful to the Doctor for stopping him.

Continuing their work, the pair were able to sabotage the Darkheart, so as it was activated by Terrell in order to destroy Veltrochni as they had always planned, the dimensional bridge collapsed. The blackhole that was created by the matter collapse, however, was stronger than either Timelord had anticipated, and in order for the Doctor and his companions to escape, Koschei threw his TARDIS into the blackhole to create a momentary window for the Doctor's TARDIS to no longer be under its pull.

Escaping from the blackhole after that, however, proved to be a challenge that cost him most of his regenerations and a great deal of time, but when finally free, Koschei arrived on Gallifrey only to find that his oldest friend had been banished to Earth. Victorian and foppish was a great change from dark and cowardly, and lacking a TARDIS, Koschei found that he could only be amused by the Doctor's situation, popping in to visit him every so often but never staying long. In fact, it wasn't until the collapse of the CVEs built by the Logopolians that Koschei and the Doctor found themselves working together again to save the universe.

Able to stop the destruction of the universe via heat entropy, Koschei, who had been struggling to preserve his last remaining regeneration since the blackhole incident, found himself rewarded by the High Council with a whole new set. After all, having sacrificed them in order to save the lives of other individuals and them following that up by saving the universe certainly gave him more than enough reason to deserve them. The High Council, however, is never one to give something for nothing, and from that point on, Koschei found himself being called upon to do tasks and accomplish things for the High Council that he would have otherwise never done.

Becoming an errand boy had not been what he'd had in mind when he accepted the offer, but he figures he can't protest since without them, he'd just be a mind in the Matrix. He just wishes they wouldn't ask him to do quite so many things. But, over 1,000 years and 15 regenerations later, and he's still traveling, still trying to see the universe and everything that it has to offer.

Name: Koschei
Age: Oh, 1263. Round abouts.
Height: 5'10"
Point taken from canon timeline, or nature of AU-ness: A Universe where Koschei never had the drums implanted in his head & Gallifrey never burned.

Brief Personality Description: Despite having grown quite a bit from the kid that he used to be, Koschei's enthuasism for the world around him has not been dampered. He'd be glad to tell you if you ask.) later, and he's still traveling, only stopping back to Gallifrey when the High Council or his best friend need his help.
